BioTronics was formed in 1983 to provide equipment repair and management services to a number of the Pittsburgh region's hospitals and physicians practices.
Clinical engineering services have been a part of BioTronics from its inception. We are the clinical engineering service provider for the entire University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) hospitals, clinics, subsidiaries and many of their joint ventures. In addition, BioTronics provides equipment management and clinical engineering services to a number of hospitals in the region. At last count, we maintain and manage well over 120,000 medical devices valued at almost $1 billion.
